Hi, I’m Maddy Shutes - founder and florist at Blooming Shutes.
While I was on maternity leave I would walk to my local market and buy flowers for my dining room table and arranging them into my favourite vase and it quickly became a passion. As I experimented more, I realised I had a real talent for floral design.
To develop my skills, I enrolled in the Floristry Career Course at Cambridge Flower School. Since then, I’ve completed several courses with their amazing team, who have equipped me with the confidence and knowledge to create truly special arrangements and launch my own business.
I’ve always been in love with all things flowers, with a keen eye for detail and design. For me, every stem has a purpose - whether it’s the pop of colour, the scent it brings, or just how beautiful it looks. The best part of what I do is putting all those pieces together and watching a vision come to life. I’m all about garden-inspired, loose, and airy designs that feel a bit wild, romantic, and totally unique.
Away from the studio, I’m married to my number one supporter and amazing husband, and I’m a proud mum to our beautiful daughter - who I hope will grow up with her own love for flowers and creativity.
